It's been a month since I posted a blog... Wake up, Terry!
Does everyone know where this picture is? I broke my long silence and finally finished this song today. Other users of global servers may already be familiar here, but I haven't been here long. It hasn't been long since I finished Main quest. Even many people have already covered the song. It is fun to make songs that are different and interesting, but on the other hand, it is difficult. That's why it takes longer to work. (Of course there's some things I'm busy with my kids. They are still young.)
The ffxiv songs I've worked on are almost 100 songs soon. I think the style is similar because I did it a lot. If you look at the sheet music, the introductory parts are all that look. The introduction of "Weight of the World" looked like that. I think I'm in a habit.
At first, I sought style unity and wanted to show my own style. I feel like I'm getting tired of it. You guys think that's a little bit, don't you?
Someone wrote this in the comments before. "Terry's music is all the same." I think he is somewhat right. I answered his comments. "You hit me so hard...T.T"
That's what I've been thinking a lot lately. The professors who taught me when I was studying composition said something. "You'll draw on the sheet music as much as you can play." I think that's about right. It seems that there are only as many arrangements as I can play. I think something needs to change.
It won't be easy, but I'll try something new a little I will try to be a little bit more changed this year in 2020.
